This column is based on the Doric order and has a spiralling frieze illustrating this war. It was built in the middle of the Forum in the year 113 AD by the architect Apollodoro from Damasco. Originally made by Alphonsus Ciacconius in 1616, these two reproductions illustrate the external elevation showing the amazing frieze, and the cross-section showing the shaft with spiral staircase.
