Uncover the excellence of lighting design with DIANE 154 by Lumen Center. Designed in 1932 by Jacques Adnet, Diane combines the perfectmodernist geometry of its lines with material refinement, evokingimages of a glowing sunrise climbing slowly over the horizon.
Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) architect and designer, leading exponent of the French Modernist movement. After studying at the Auxerre School of Design and at L’Ecole des Arts Decoratifs, Adnet founded the JJ Adnet company together with his twin brother Jean. From 1928 to 1960 he was director of the Compagnie des Arts Français. Among the designers on his team were prominent figures such as François Jourdain, Charlotte Perriand and Georges Jouve. During the 50s, he devoted himself to the design of furniture and received numerous commissions including the decoration of the private apartments of the French president at the Elysée and the meeting room of the Paris headquarters of UNESCO. From 1959 to 1970 he directed the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
