Uncover the excellence of lighting design with EAGLE by Lumen Center. Designed in 1984 by Gilles Derain, Eagle has an essential, geometricline, which was inspired by the graphic and balanced profile of thewingspan of a flying eagle.
French designer born in 1944 and raised professionally in the world of art trade and modern antiques. He was one of the first admirers of the UAM (Union des Artistes Modernes) movement, a movement active between 1928 and 1958, which later merged into the international modern movement. Artistic director and co-founder of Lumen Center in the late 1970s, his MCP (Merci Chareau Pierre) lamp was a huge commercial success in 1979, so much so that it was included in the collection of the Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts. To this day, Derain designs lamps, furniture, carpets and jewelry.
