Gerard Stricher was born in 1948 to a family of artists in Sarrebourg, France. From a young age, he had a deep passion for art and spent much of his time drawing. Although he did not receive formal training, he immersed himself in the cafรฉ society of fellow painters and attended gallery openings, finding encouragement in his sales. However, despite his talent and success, he ultimately made the decision to pursue a career in industry. Through this path, he became a highly regarded international manager and considered himself a “World Citizen”. His travels allowed him to broaden his perspective, gaining inspiration from new people, landscapes, and experiences that would later manifest in his artwork. He eventually settled down in an old mill in the French Vexin region, using it as his studio to work tirelessly on his craft.
