Glass Decor Close Encounters Large Purple light-dark by Stefan Schöning
GARDECO is where new ideas in art meet high-end decoration. The Belgian artist and renowned architect Stefan Schöning astonishes yet again with a beautifully abstract, balanced work of art. The idea for Close encounters, a piece in mouth blown glass, arose at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. Governments took measures that made us feel safe, but also quite lonely and estranged from one another. The desire to be close to his loved ones was what drove Schöning to design Close encounters. Rather than to portray distance, the artist decided to concretise the opposite: closeness.
Schöning consciously selected glass as a medium for Close encounters, as it can be mouth blown and its properties allow two ‘bubbles’ to cling to each other. Besides this, the transparency of the work and complementary colours enhance the effect of attraction.Material: Glass

LaCividina – NAP Corner Sofa composition
Both the name and the shape of this soft, smart seat evoke the idea of restfulness. Nap takes the idea of a pillow and recreates it in an extra-large, sartorial form, with seams that are designed to give it even more of a packed appearance, such as piping around the edges of the cushions and horizontal darts. Extra comfort is added by the lumbar support cushion, which is attached to the backrest by a concealed zip. It gives the sofa a tidy appearance that is ideal for both the contract market and household settings. Rounding off the structure are ash feet, which are available both painted and in the natural colour of the wood. They feature a minimalist design and almost entirely disappear from view under the sumptuous seat.

LaCividina – WAVES Ottoman Parallel
Waves is a collection of poufs inspired by the sea and the soft, gentle ripples running along the surface of the water. Natural forms take on an artistic character, with the winding lines and rich colours of landscapes and flowers flooding onto the canvases. Waves poufs can be used individually, but they really come into their own in compositions. The modular items are available in a range of different shapes and sizes, including some with small backrests. They can be joined together however you like as part of a refined, original interior design scheme for waiting rooms and exhibition venues. There is a magnet hidden inside the structure of each pouf, so a number of the items can be joined together.
