ABOUT DESIGNER
Alberto Saggia & Valerio Sommella
ALBERTO SAGGIA was born in Novara in 1978. After graduating in 2004 from the Politecnico of Milano in Industrial Design with a specialization in lighting engineering, he immediately began his collaboration with the Metis Lighting studio in Milan, dealing with lighting design and industrial design, as well as the development of custom-made lighting solutions.
VALERIO SOMMELLA was born in Cortona in 1980. He graduated laude in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano in 2004, the year in which he began working with Stefano Giovannoni. In 2007 he left Milan to move to Amsterdam where he joined Marcel Wandersโ team. Since 2009 he has been living and working in Milan, designing products ranging from lighting to consumer electronics for Italian and international customers. Since 2010 they have been collaborating together on the development of luminaires and lighting systems for well-known Italian companies.
